Jason T. Robinson was born on September 30, 1980 and raised in Boston by his grandparents, Mr. Lafeyette and Mrs. Rogera Robinson, who have since both passed on. Jason graduated from Charlestown High School, and planned on attending Northeastern University in September of 2000. He postponed his enrollment in order to provide for his new born son, Desmond, working as a security guard. Jason had also been negotiating with an upcoming music label for a possible record deal, and had multiple performances lined up just before he was detained.
Jason's most immediate and crucial goal is to obtain his freedom. He would like to earn degrees in business and sport sciences. Currently, he his working on getting certified in fitness and nutrition. His vision for his future includes being closely involved in his children's lives and actively serving within his community. He dreams of giving Boston residence an outlet to express themselves creatively. Because he believes strongly in the redemptive and healing power of art, he hopes to give local artists an avenue to share their gifts. Ultimately, he wants to open an art gallery in honor of his grandparents.
Jason lives by his motto: We are all at our best, when we are allowed to create.
